Miniaturization (Depth of Field Manipulations) in Aerial Photography

Manipulating the Depth of Field in photography and videography is the new “Hotness.” It’s not best to simply apply a graduated Blur in Photoshop-the effect is far too coarse and does not approximate certain ideosyncracies of a larger aperture.

The Morning After…

Early on the morning following the big football game (vs. Nevada) I had some aerial architectural work to do. It was so clear and smooth out I decided to just cruise around the valley and record some things that I’ve been noticing-some positive (such as the new construction) and some negative (such as the apparent lack of retail activity). These don’t reflect our professional grade of work-they’re just “drive-by snapshots.”
