Manipulating the Depth of Field in photography and videography is the new “Hotness.” It’s not best to simply apply a graduated Blur in Photoshop-the effect is far too coarse and does not approximate certain ideosyncracies of a larger aperture.

The Professional Aerial Photographers Association, International is getting together in Tampa, Florida during the first week of February. We’ll do all of the sorts of things that all people do at conventions…except for wearing lampshades, I suspect. One of the things that we’ll be doing that may leave just as bad a hangover is the 2009 PAPA Iron Photoshop Contest.
