Miniaturization (Depth of Field Manipulations) in Aerial Photography

Manipulating the Depth of Field in photography and videography is the new “Hotness.” It’s not best to simply apply a graduated Blur in Photoshop-the effect is far too coarse and does not approximate certain ideosyncracies of a larger aperture.

The 2009 PAPA “Iron Photoshop” Contest, February 4-7, Tampa, Florida

The Professional Aerial Photographers Association, International is getting together in Tampa, Florida during the first week of February. We’ll do all of the sorts of things that all people do at conventions…except for wearing lampshades, I suspect. Transverse and Longitudinal Chromatic Aberration in Adobe Camera RAW

Chromatic Aberrations are anathema in photography. They are recognizable even at modest enlargements in Photoshop (e.g. 50%) and may be resolved-to a great extent-in Adobe’s Camera RAW.
