Architectural Photography: Hypersaturation & Hypercontrast
Posted in Architectural Photography, Color Science on Aug 6th, 2008
This sort of high dynamic range imagery is very popular-the contrast and saturation are surreal, and the preparation is surprisingly easy. Unfortunately, the algorirthms used to composite various exposures together are very sloppy around mid- to high-contrast edges, producing tonal slop and hue bleeding that is not acceptable for most applications when printed to 8×10 or larger.
