It’s very encouraging to see so much new construction in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and Rexburg: numerous primary schools, bridges and interchanges, and industrial projects are active.
There are a variety of interchange improvements along Interstate 84, Interstate 86, and Interstate 15 in central and eastern Idaho. Their importance underscores the industrial, retail, and residential growth in the areas they serve.
The American Falls wastewater treatment plant and the Minidoka Dam additions are important infrastructure projects along the Snake River between Burley and Pocatello.
The new Melaleuca Headquarters are adjacent to and west of Interstate 15 just south of Exit 113.
The Ethel Boyes school will be ready for opening day in the fall. I believe the plan is to demolish the old facility once the new one is operating.
This very “wide” aerial shows Hitt Rd. along the bottom of the frame: that’s 17th St. just to the right of center heading off into the distance. WalMart is at the bottom right, the mall is in the lower center of the frame, and the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is evident near the left side just to the right of Sunnyside.
This wrecking yard is just north of one of our regular industrial construction sites north of Idaho Falls. It’s amazingly well organized and colorful-and there are some very interesting collections of RV’s/motor homes and large trucks…
Rexburg is enjoying a tremendous amount of new construction at the BYU-Idaho campus, but to support all of that activity there have been some respectable improvements made to older infrastructure and retail facilities. This is the Rexburg Broulim’s and its immediate retail context on West Main. Commercial Real Estate development and sales in both Idaho Falls and Rexburg are very active.
The Madison County Library in Rexburg has also been rebuilt.
