Aerial Photography in Pocatello, Idaho: Every Square Inch
Nov 20th, 2008 by Leo A. Geis
In October, 2008, we produced comprehensive aerial photography portfolios of many cities in Idaho. This blog post is a portal to the Pocatello collection.
You can access proofs of the images by clicking the following URL:
http://www.idahoairships.com/10_08_Idaho_Verts/pocatello_10_08/map.htm
Use the controls in the upper left corner of the map to locate a specific image (either by zooming or selecting an image by number in the drop-down menu). Each marker represents the near-centerpoint of a particular image-click on a marker and a thumbnail will appear. Click on the thumbnail and a larger version will appear in your browser.
These images are shot with approximately 1′ pixels (we’ve posted low resolution versions to the index map) and are ~6000′ wide by ~4,000′ tall. Any several adjacent images can be mosaiced (”stitched”) together to form maps of larger areas. We quote each purchase separately dependent upon the number of images and the amount of mosaicing, if desired.
Please remember that these proofs are protected by Federal Copyright Laws. We do sell the rights to use any of these images, whether the small (low resolution) images posted on this website or the large (high resolution) versions that can be delivered to customers promptly via FTP. Using the images without permission is a Federal Crime and carries penalties of up to $150,000 per use.
To purchase any or all of the statewide vertical images, please contact Leo A. Geis at 1.208.344.7410, or via e-mail at lgeis@idahoairships.com.
A sample mosaic made from constituent images in the Pocatello 10/08 portfolio. The Yellowstone Interchange on Interstate 86 and Pine Ridge Mall are obvious. The top of the image is north.
