October was our busiest month ever (in just Idaho)-many customers are considering our singular abilities as a solution for the present challenges of fuel costs and workforce paring.
Here are few images from October, 2008 that demonstrate some of our capabilities.
An “High Dynamic Range” (HDR) image of a portion of the Dallin Woods Retail development in Nampa, Idaho.
Albertsons Park in Fall dress. We’ve had a fantastic fall color season this year in part to some early snows (the earliest in recorded history) and cold temperatures, followed by weeks of Indian Summer.
Interior of the newly remodeled Karcher Mall in Nampa.
We shot approximately 2,500 vertical images in October. This is a mosaic of 5-the subject is the Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey. The original is in 1′ pixels, which is actually a relatively coarse metric compared to our more standard 6″ and 3″ pixel work. The images are corrected for distortions and aberrations such as LCA.
Detail of construction progress on the new East Parkcenter Bridge in east Boise. This is a northeast view-the Settlers Canal culvert is in the immediate foreground, while the concrete structure is actually the Greenbelt tunnel.
Another major event for Idaho Airships, Inc. this month was the release of Adobe’s CS4, and we’ve spent many hours familiarizing ourselves with the new capabilities of Bridge CS4, ACR 5.1, and PSCS4. Although ACR 5.1 probably contains the most significant upgrades for aerial photographers (Graduated Filter and Adjustment Brush), both Bridge CS4 and PSCS4 (I can only speak for Extended) have brought some incredible new functionalities to the table. Bridge now offers Stack and Collections (data basing) that when combined with ACR are a nearly complete solution for aerial photographers either just starting their business or confining their practice to oblique aerials.
