Aerial Photography of Construction in Idaho, Summer 2008
Aug 16th, 2008 by Leo A. Geis
Here are some images we’ve produced in the past couple of weeks. They were selected to demonstrate specific capabilities.
To see what we’re up to right now, take a look at the links in the right column of this page. If you’re looking for night aerial photography, architectural (especially HDR) imagery, or other specialty items please review some of our earlier posts by navigating through the post categories in the left column of this page.
This image of the Boise River at Barber Dam demonstrates sediment patterns in the river bottom. The resolution along the dam is better than 1 pixel per inch (on the original).
The same is true of this image of the Idaho State Capitol renovation project: One inch pixels through the center of the frame.
The pixels on this project are about half an inch. This is a fairly standard benchmark with the cameras and lenses we use-the manufacturers’ labels on building materials are readable.
An example of why absolute resolution and low light (shadow) performance are important.
