Aerial Photography Company for Sale!
Feb 14th, 2008 by Leo Geis
No, it’s not Idaho Airships, Inc.! Our “sister” company, Aerial Photographics, LLC, is on the market.
Technically, Aerial Photographics is our competition. It’s been in business for decades-far longer than we have.
The problem is that the owner is a fantastic human being and very dear friend-thus, a classic competitive relationship doesn’t make sense. He purchased the company a few years ago with every intent to enter the business full time, but has continued to climb the ladder at a Fortune 100 Company (in fact, they are the 2007 Fortune #14). I think he’s Vice President in charge of Carribean Vacations and Fast Cars now, so has decided to harvest the asset.
For the past 3 years Idaho Airships, Inc. has operated Aerial Photographics, LLC. The relationship between the two companies is what I’d call “dear,” and that relationship may be protracted if the right situation presents itself.
If you’re interested just drop me a line by clicking the Contact tab above. Feel free to use my Blackberry address on this matter, and I’ll forward your information on to John.
One caveat-this is not an easy business. It’s a tremendous amount of work and the learning curve is very, very steep. Then again, if it were easy, a lot more people would be doing it. There are precious few businesses that combine flying around in high performance helicopters, slinging high end cameras, and operating “smokin’” computers driving printers the size of pommel horses.
