Metamerism

In photometry, colors that have a similar visual character as sensed by a normalized human eye, but actually have differing spectral componentry are referred to as “Metamers.” If you are frustrated by the apparent colors of your prints varying under different kinds of lighting, it is possible that you are afflicted with Metamerism.

This Site is Now Three Months Old!

We’ve been keeping traffic statistics since 7/23/07-a couple of days after the site launch. Since 8/3/07 we’ve enjoyed well over 5,600 visits from around the world. Our page views are now showing a preference for technical posts (particularly those dealing with video codecs and color theory).

Hyperbole: It’s Not Just for Stereo Gear Any More
